Vorlage:Anglican Portal The Rt Rev Ronald Stanhope More O’Ferrall[1], DD, MA was the fourth Bishop of Madagascar from 1926[2] until 1940[3].
He was born in 1890 and educated at Charterhouse and Trinity College, Cambridge and ordained in 1915 [4]. He began his career with a curacy at Chesterfield Parish Church after which he was an Asstistant Priest at St. George's Cathedral, Jerusalem and a Housemaster at its adjacent school. He was an UMCA Missionary in Northern Rhodesia before his elevation to the Episcopate. On his return to England he became an Assistant Bishop within the Diocese of Derby[5] and was Rector of Walton-on-Trent then Vicar of Repton- and a Master at the nearby public school. In 1947 he became Provost of Derby[6], a post he held until 1953. He then held two further incumbencies at Cranham, Gloucestershire and Hyde, Hampshire before retiring in 1958.
