Background

WrestleMania is considered WWE's flagship event,[1] having been described as the Super Bowl of sports entertainment.[2]

On March 8, 2016, WWE announced that WrestleMania 33 will be held at the Orlando Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida on April 2, 2017.[3]

It will be the second WrestleMania hosted at the Orlando Citrus Bowl after 2008, and the third to be held in the state of Florida, after the aforementioned WrestleMania XXIV in 2008 and 2012.

Storylines

WrestleMania 33 will feature CM Punk vs. The Rock vs. The Undertaker vs. John Cena vs. Randy Orton in a fatal five way match for the WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPprofessional wrestling matches that involve wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on WWE television. Wrestlers will portray heroes or villains as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.[4][5]
