Linux Lite是一个基于Debian和Ubuntu的Linux发行版。[5] 其配有經修改過的輕量級的Xfce桌面環境，包括一组以Lite命名的自有應用程序，對Linux新手比較友好。

历史

Linux Lite起始于2013年发布的Linux Lite 1.0.0（代号为「紫水晶」，[10] 基于 Ubuntu）。它最初开发和设计关注于吸引Windows用户到以Linux为基础的操作系统，这是为了消解Linux难以使用这一固有观念。

版本号

Linux Lite初始阶段的版本号例如1.0.0。第一个数字代表Ubuntu中的基础代码，即「1」指Ubuntu 12.04 LTS这一基础系统。第二个数字代表在其间Ubuntu LTS版本，即「0」指Ubuntu LTS 12.04.1版。第三个数字（「0」）代表此后的任意微小版本。对于2.x版本系列,[11]最后数字暨微小版本已不需要。
