EdgeHTML是由微軟發展並用於Microsoft Edge的專有排版引擎。該排版引擎是Trident的一個分支，移除所有舊版Internet Explorer遺留下來的程式碼，並重寫主要的程式碼以和其他現代瀏覽器的設計精神互通有無[2]。The rendering engine was first released as an experimental option in Internet Explorer 11 as part of the Windows 10 Preview 9926 build.[3] It is the primary engine used by Microsoft Edge.
A review of the engine in the latest Windows 10 build by AnandTech found substantial benchmark improvements over Trident; particularly JavaScript engine performance, which is now up to par with that of Google Chrome.[4] Other benchmarks focusing on the performance of the WebGL API found EdgeHTML to perform much better than Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.[5]
