The term "closure" is a misnomer. There are lambdas and lambdas have lexical closureas.

The term closure for this concept has been widely used in scientific publications, and the field of computer science. I would even argue that it is more common than that of lamda calculus.--Eptalon (talk) 06:54, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
