Area code 269 is a telephone area code in the state of Michigan in the United States. It covers southwestern Michigan, including cities such as Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and St. Joseph. It was created on July 13, 2002 as a split from area code 616, which originally covered a larger portion of western Michigan.
