Python (mythology)

In Greek mythology, Python (Greek: Πύθων) was a large serpent or dragon. She was said to live at the center of the Earth, believed by the ancient Greeks to be at Delphi. Her mother was Gaia (Mother Earth). She was killed by the god Apollo.[1]
