The A-level is short for Advanced Level, and is a General Certificate of Education set of examinations taken in the United Kingdom, usually during the end of secondary school. In the UK, they are usually taken two years after the students have completed GCSE or IGCSE exams.

The examination results of the A-levels usually determines if a student is good enough to go to the University or college. A person should have at least two A-level passes before he or she can successfully apply for a course in a University.
