The Indian Python, also known as the Indian rock python, is a large non-venomous snake. It is native to India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka where it lives in jungles. Its main source of prey is animals such as rodents, deer, monkeys, birds and sometimes livestock. Like other constrictors, the python kills with strength instead of venom.
