Sister Nivedita Institute of Culture
The organisation; "Sister Nivedita Institute of Culture" have been formed in the year 1989 by eminent educationist, intellectuals, social workers and different elites along with other persons to commemorate Sister Nivedita's life and work. We on behalf of this organisation have conducted several programs in the past and planning for others in future also. The aim of our organisation is to project the lives, thoughts and teachings of Lord Ramakrishna, Ma Saradamoni, Swami Vivekananda & Sister Nivedita to rouse the public spirit for sacrifice and dedication for higher human cause. You will appreciate that a huge effort has been made to pay homage to Sister Nivedita in proper and befiting manner on behalf of State Govt.and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission. We appreciate the endeavor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation for obtaining the heritage house of Sister Nivedita and hand-over to Ramakrishna Sarada Mission for it's betterment which was the preliminary aim & object of our organisation. In the year 1991 we erected a marble plate of memorandum with a statue (relief work) of Sister Nivedita at Bagbazar Girish Avenue & and Bose Para Lane crossing near Sister's House (16-A, Bose Para Lane) for the first time in Kolkata. This, we believe, will ever act as an inspiration for our future generation also.
