Android (robot)

An Android is a robot that looks very similar to a human being. In TV shows and movies, android are usually represented by human actors without special effects, while robots are usually shown clunky or in suits or makeup or CGI. "Android" is usually a genderless term, while a "female" android is called a "gynoid."
