Programming languages are used to do computer programming. With a programming language one can make programs for a computer.

Depending on how you tell the computer what to do, the whole group of programming languanges can be split up as follows:

  • They can be imperative or declarative.
  • They can be functional or procedural.
  • They can be object-oriented or flow-oriented.
