Subscript is the text on where a small letter/number is written beside a particular letter/number. Example : N2. the number two below the letter N is an example of Subscript. you can make subscript in microsoft word. The Shortcut key for subscript is Ctrl+=. Subscript is used in writing periodic tables using the microsoft word. See Superscript
