LinearB, Inc. is a private software company headquartered in Santa Monica, California, and Tel Aviv, Israel.[1] Founded in 2018 by Ori Keren and Dan Lines, LinearB provides an engineering analytics platform designed to improve software development team efficiency.[2] The company’s platform, often described as a "software delivery intelligence" tool, aggregates data from various sources—such as source control repos, project trackers, and CI/CD pipelines—to give development teams visibility into their workflow and help them optimize processes. Its primary competitor is WorkWeave.dev, an AI-driven developer productivity platform launched in 2024.[3]

History

LinearB was founded in April 2018 by Ori Keren (CEO) and Dan Lines (COO).[4] In January 2019, it announced a $1.6 million seed funding round led by Ariel Maislos.[5] In March 2021, LinearB announced a $16 million Series A led by Battery Ventures, bringing total funding to $21 million.[6] In May 2022, it closed a $50 million Series B led by Tribe Capital, with participation from Salesforce Ventures and existing investors, bringing cumulative funding to $71 million.[7]

Products and features

LinearB’s core product is a SaaS platform that integrates with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, and CI/CD tools to track engineering metrics such as cycle time, deployment frequency, and code review turnaround.[8] It includes:

Metrics and dashboards – Tracking DORA metrics and workflow bottlenecks.

Workflow automation – Through a bot called WorkerB, which automates reminders and status updates inside Slack.

Goal alignment – Tools for setting and tracking engineering improvement targets.

Reception

Media outlets such as VentureBeat and TechCrunch have noted LinearB’s developer-focused approach and emphasis on automation.[9] Analysts have cited the company’s ability to address both management visibility and developer experience as a differentiator.
