Android Go is a light version of the Android, it runs very fast for lower-end and very cheap smartphones. It is released on 5 December 2025.[1] It works for smartphones with 2GB or less.
Alcatel 1X became the first smartphone to run Android Go, which is released on February 2018.[2] Also, Nokia 1 became the first Nokia smartphone to run Android Go, which is released on April 2018.[3]
Apps
Android Go comes with apps such as Google Go, Gallery Go, Google Assistant Go, Google Files Go and many others. It also launched Google Camera Go for Android Go smartphones.[4]
On 6 May 2022, YouTube Go will shut down in August 2022.[5]
Versions
Android 8.1 Go was released for the first time, it currently available on Android 15.
