OpenOffice.org නම් වූ මෘදුකාංග කට්ටලයේ පැතුරුම්පත් සඳහා වූ මෘදුකාංගය OpenOffice.org Calc යි. මෙහි]] MicroSoft Excel නම් වූ පැතුරුම්පතට බොහෝ සෙයින් සමාන අතර එහි නොමැති සමහර පහසුකම් පවා OpenOffice.org Calc හි දක්නට ඇත.OpenOffice.org Calc හි ඇති එක් පහසුකමක් නම් කෙලින්ම PDF File Format එකට ගොනු ලිවිය හැකි වීමයි.
මෙහි Version 2x/3x හි ගොනුවක් ගබඩා කිරීමේදී එක්කෝ MicroSoft Excel හි File Format එකෙන් එසේත් නැත්නම් ජාත්‍යන්තර සම්මතය වන OpenDocument Format (ODF) ISO/IEC 26300:2006 යන File Format එකෙන් ගබඩා කළ හැකි වීම ද විශේෂත්වයකි. එසේම CSV, HTML, SXC, DBF, DIF, UOF, SLK, SDC යන වලින් ඕනෑම එකකින් ගබඩාඅ කළ හැකි වීම මෙම මෘදුකාංගය්යේ වටිනාකම වැඩි කරන්නකි. Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, Linux, FreeBSD හා Solaris යන Operating Systems මත වැඩ කළ හැකිවීම ද තවත් විශේෂත්වයකි.
Specifications
Calc 3.0 can store a maximum of 65,536 rows with 1,024 columns in each sheet, with a maximum of 256 sheets.[1] There is a work-around to increase these limits, but it is only suitable for ODF and text-based formats, as there is a risk of data corruption for binary formats such as Excel's native format.[2] In Calc 3.0.0, the column limit has been increased to 1024 from 256 used in older versions.[3] Prior to V2.0, the limit on the number of rows was 32,000.[4]
