Bot Policy

Requests for bot flags

Before requesting for approval of your bot, you have to :
1. Make sure that you have created a user page for your bot account:
  1. Inform what is your bot's purpose, the language bot is written, what program(s) is used (pywikipedia framework, etc)
  2. Inform whether it is manually assisted or automatically scheduled to run
  3. Inform who operates the bot and how to contact the operator
  4. Add [[Category:វិគីភីឌារូបយន្ត]] to its userpage
2. Run your bot without a bot flag at least one week at intervals of 30 seconds or longer before making requests.
When requesting for approval of your bot, you have to demonstrate the following:
1. The bot is harmless
2. The bot is useful
3. The bot is not a server hog
If a sysop gives you approval for the bot and nobody else opposes the request, a bureaucrat may grant the bot flag.
After granted the bot flag, please add the bot to the list at this page.
