  • 18:4018:40, 9 March 2018 diff hist +153 User:ACo2c/List Apparently we can now write as long edit summaries as we can ever want to, or at least something very near it, and it is clearly the duty of every wikipedian to make an edit testing this (at least am going to do mine in my sandbox, which cannot be very interesting for anyone else to have watchlisted in any case) by writing some long rambling text in the edit summary window, rather than doing as instructed – briefly describing the changes; this is simply too good, or bad, to be believed before one has actually tried it oneself, and doing so I must say I agree that the new limit is very high indeed, so that it is difficult to think of any circumstances in normal editing where it would be really useful to be able to use this feature fully, even if we are informed that there are some specific situations where the previous limits created difficulties, particularly when having automatic edit summaries and also something more to add in addition to the information included automatically.
