This page exists as a guide to the various administrative processes and other paperwork to be taken care of at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation. It exists primarily for the Committee's mediators to refer to when carrying out internal process tasks, and will probably be of little use to anybody else.

Requests for mediation

Rejected requests

To reject a request for mediation:

  1.  Add the text {{Rejected case}} underneath the first header
  2. Update {{medcombox}} (This is not a critical step.)
    | status = rej
  3.  Under 'Decision of the Mediation Committee', add the text:
    * '''Reject.''' [Reason for rejection]. For the Mediation Committee, ~~~~
  4. Remove the template's entry from the 'unassigned' section of WP:RFM/OT. (This is not a critical step.)

MediationBot will work his magic on the request about ten minutes (if not sooner) after you complete step one: the case will be moved from WP:RFM/P to WP:RFM#Recently rejected requests and moved from Category:Mediation Committee pending cases to Category:Mediation Committee rejected cases.
