Hide columns in tables

Problem: Big long tables in Wikipedia can become hard to navigate
Proposed solution: Allow readers to hide or collapse columns in tables
Who would benefit: Readers. Also editors may be more inclined to add extra data columns

More comments: For example consider a List of countries by population. You want to view just the country name and percentage of world. Being able to hide/collapse the other columns would be handy.

Support. There should be a way to include lots more data in a page, and future editors can choose which data is visible. Table should also allow user to show/hide. Canadianpoliticaljunkie (talk) 13:13, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
