Broad concept, article has very little actual content and no refs, and at this state is not a useful WP article or even a useful stub. PRODded but was dePRODded by original author; commented-out the "notes to author"-type content but it was reinstated by original author. Original author says "is intended to be a entry/gateway/overview article with many links to existing pages", but in its present outline state it is not an asset to the encyclopedia. - Delete - it is hard to see how the current WP:OR essay is going to find a worthwhile space in between Human interface device (which already has a neat list of bluelinked HIDs), Pointing device etc etc, and for that matter Keyboard (computing). The reference to "pressing letters into clay" (he means Cuneiform) is distinctly essay-like. We could suggest Fountain pen and its precursors as suitable places to mine for more TID information, but we're already way into WP:NOTESSAY territory here. Quick... fetch me a razor to scrape this parchment clean. Chiswick Chap (talk) 17:10, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
