The famous mystery writer Agatha Christie mysterously disappeared for eleven days in 1926. Based on this reality the film develops a story that begins with the petition for divorce by Agatha Christie (Vanessa Redgrave) to her husband Archibald (Timothy Dalton). Seeing its ruined marriage, Agatha takes refuge in a bath without leaving its signs. All the country looks for it, since it is a famous and wanted personage. In the end she will be an American journalist (Dustin Hoffman) who finds it and who helps it to surpass the contrariedades.
