This is the page for a script which allows you to change your status between online and offline.

What it is: A toolbar at the side of the screen (or top, by your username) which has three buttons: Online, Offline, and Busy. When you click one of them, it will change the contents of the page "User:(your username)/Status" to either "Online", "Offline", or "Busy".

To use it: Simply enter the following text in your monobook.js, replacing the examples with your own parameters:

{{subst:User:Flameviper/status1.js
 |(your username)|custom display for "Online" status (optional)
 |custom display for "Busy" status (optional),defaults to "On Wikivacation"
 |custom display for "Offline" status (optional)
 |bar= ("true" to put it in your top bar, otherwise leave blank)
 |watch= ("true" to put the status page on your watchlist, otherwise leave blank)
 }}

(obviously, leave the line breaks out).

What it does: When you click on "online", "offline", or "busy" it will update your status page. This is useful for placing on your user/talk pages to indicate if you are online (by inclusion of {{User:Example/Status}}, note capitalization). If you are "online", it will default to include you in Category:Wikipedians who are currently online, indexed under your username. This category provides easy access to a list of online users who are available to help. Note: The status changer will not automatically change your status when you log in or log out. You still have to adjust your status when logging in or out.
