This user is a physicist from Saxony, Ph.D. (two degrees), Fraunhofer Prize 1996, repeated notices in Marquis' Who's Who in the World. After socialist trouble ("you have to understand that for you as a church member there is no place in our research institutes") and successful appeal working as research-scientist at the East German Academy of Sciences until the end of socialism, then at Fraunhofer Society with global business (USA, Israel, Saudi-Arabia etc.). My rootes are in Saxony (50%), Lower-Silesian Lusatia (25%), and Austrian-Polish eastern Galicia (25%). Interested in History (with excursion, inter alia, to Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald, Thersienstadt, Auschwitz and Birkenau); I appreciate document-based approaches as e.g. by Götz Aly. Languages: German, English, Russian, French; basics in Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Arabic (with Kufi - for reading the calligraphy on the mosques in, formerly Soviet, Middle Asia).
