A bold, contested, revert is a bold move that is contested, and either reversed at move review or reverted by technical request.
Process
Similar to Bold, revert, discuss, the cycle involves a bold edit that is consequently reverted, but alternatively not from the editor who opposed such a bold edit. Instead when a move is contested, either at move review or by technical request if the move requires page mover rights in order to perform, the revert usually occurs from an uninvolved editor closing a discussion or carrying out an unopposed technical request.
In such cases, the policy ignore all rules rarely applies when a bold, revert cycle has already occured. It is instead recommended to initiate a requested move in order to establish consensus, prior to a move to a new article title.
