Education

I am an Eleven-plus failure. Ten years after my first exam failure I got a degree in Mechanical engineering and then a Doctorate on the computer based analysis (using Finite Element Analysis or FEA) of creep crack growth.

Career

I progressed within an engineering-based consultancy. I eventually became a consultant working on the design and in-service assessment of structures.

Hobbies

Football, including Chelsea and Brechin City.
