Please Clarify "WSDL can describe REST"

The article states that WSDL can be used to describe REST services. I would like to see the authors substantiate that statement. I would also like to see them quantify it: do they mean that WSDL can be used to describe _all_ REST services? Do they mean that WSDL version 2.0 can be used to describe _some_ REST services?

Dead WADL xmlns in example

The URL to java.net for the WADL namespace applied to the XML global namespace is now a dead link and no longer functions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.147.57.12 (talk) 19:11, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
