Vector has a monopoly on AUTOSAR market

Internally, they brag about owning 80% of the AUTOSAR market, software required in every car in every ECU across almost all automotive manufacturers.

"So we kind of have a monopoly a little bit but it's basically been selected because the implementations we've made in the past and up to now have worked flawlessly. The number of issues has been very, very low."

Their only competitor in the AUTOSAR market is not really a competitor, Elektrobit, now owned by Continental. Elektrobit controls the other 20% of the market providing some tool sets that are required by the Vector tool chain.
