Function?

But what does the TROS pn the 2040 have to do with running subroutines? Rgw microde in TROS was used to

Simulate the S/360 instructions
Implement I/O channels
Implement IPL
Run diagnostics

That text was never in the article prior to your edit. I believe that it came from a paper that related to the Bell Model VI relay computer and not to the IBM System/360. How about Later applications include the Bell Laboratories Model VI computer to run subroutines (also known as functions), and implementing the architecture of the IBM System/360 on the Model 20^[a] and Model 40.? I've deleted the "to run subroutines (also known as functions)" part for now to make sure the information is at least somewhat correct on the article while I research into the Model VI computer. There are some articles on IEEE that have some information.

I don't recall the "run subroutines" coming from a Bell Model VI paper though. I'll have to check through the references used. ACaesarSalad (talk) 16:15, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
