Improvements

  • The history section is lacking detail between 1970 and the present. It would be good to include some background in direct solution techniques, as well as pseudospectral methods.
  • There are many more applications in both the industry and aerospace fields. These subsections should be expanded.
  • Could use more references in the section on trajectory optimization techniques and comparison of techniques.
  • Include more technical details for the various algorithms, or pointers to pages (yet to be created) about them.
  • Section about common numerical problems encountered when solving trajectory optimization problems.
  • Reference to Russ Tedrakes underactuated robotics class should be somewhere.
