Connection to Gaussian integers

Someone more familiar with algebraic number theory should add the connection to Gaussian integers: a number is the sum of two squares iff it is the norm of some Gaussian integer . Wqwt (talk) 06:47, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Class number of integer

In the sum of three squares the formulas mention the class number of an integer. A link is provided, but the linked content is considerably more abstract and it is very unclear what a class number for an integer is. So, where is says h(-4n) the calculation is not obvious if one follows the link. 2001:4958:356E:8201:A96B:2E2A:6308:E1DD (talk) 02:30, 24 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
