This article is linked to from the Semantics of Logic article. Here is what that article says: "Probabilistic semantics originated from H. Field and has been shown equivalent to and a natural generalization of truth-value semantics. Like truth-value semantics, it is also non-referential in nature." This article should be expanded to include and explanation of Field's work by someone more qualified than me to give such an account.
