My intention in creating this page was to provide a freely available educational resource for hobbyists who want to use Microchip's products. The fact that Microchip may benefit from this as a form of advertising is co incidental. I am also a hobbyist and in the spirit of providing information freely intended to compile a resource with technical / educational information helping others to use microcontrollers.

I can be difficult to locate all the information required to build a PIC based project. This page and subsequent pages was intended to serve as a comprehensive resource. Most resources that would be cited would be freely available resources with the exception of microchip. Dutron 09:37, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Dutron[reply]

I restored the speedy tag simply because it explicitly states that it should not be removed by the article's creator who should add the hangon tag but not overwrite it. However, as I see the point of not intending spam, I will now replace the tag for speedy deletion with a proposed deletion since your intention of creating an educational resource still something what Wikipedia is not for. While you could remove this tag yourself, please study the following policy: What Wikipedia is not searching for "Instruction manuals". In any case welcome here!--Tikiwont 10:30, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
