What after July 2017
Is the equipment still at the ISS ? Was there a final report ? Did it recommend any further development ? What did this experiment lead to ? What are the consequences/conclusions from using non space qualified components ? - Rod57 (talk) 23:32, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
Why is this less capable than the earlier Lunar Laser Communication Demonstration
Lunar Laser Communication Demonstration (LLCD) demonstrated 633 Mbps from lunar orbit in 2013. Why is OPALS trying for only 50 or 100 Mbps from LEO ? Article could perhaps compare and explain the differences. - Rod57 (talk) 22:35, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
