Separate page vs redirecting to Unix

There are many Unix variants - only some of them are open source. It's only since about 1998 that *any* open-source Unix variants have become interesting for the general computing public. If someone wants to link to open source Unix specifically, it's a good bet that they don't intend to talk about Unix in general. You have created a useless stub, for a term that does not get used anywhere. First, there is only one actual UNIX which is open source, Solaris, the others are all Unix-like, partially POSIX compliant operating systems which lack enough components to get Unix certification. Second, the subject matter that could be contained here is already covered entirely in the Unix-like article. Your stub serves no purpose, you want the bottom section of the Unix-like article, which is why it was redirected there, this was already dealt with when someone wanted to make an article for Freenix.
