"Controversy Over Soundness"
I'm removing the comment about controversy surrounding the soundness of this sampling algorithm. If you can't go into details or explain why the method is controversial and possibly not sound, then cite a credible reference. Since the method has been peer-reviewed, published, and used successfully in applications, I think a comment like this requires a credible citation per standard Wiki terms/rules.
I agree with the removal. This is brought up occasionally by MCMC users who have not kept up with the literature. In the early papers there was a bit of discussion that raised some weak points in the original Skilling paper (the two papers by Evans and Chopin & Robert), but by now there are several papers (by Walter, the nested sampling via SMC by Salomone et al, by Schittenhelm, etc) proving the algorithm from several approaches, including also the case of plateaus in the function to integrate. I'd say the interest in these outdated academic arguments is not worth mentioning. JohannesBuchner (talk) 00:16, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
Reference 5 is a dead link
If anyone knows Jon Skilling's website please update the link 169.232.151.227 (talk) 22:33, 2 June 2017 (UTC)

Licenses of Implementations
Should the licenses of the various software packages be given? MultiNest and PolyChord for instance are using custom licenses that are incompatible with GPL etc. This affects also their interfaces and dyPolyChord. Should the package list be transformed into a table? JohannesBuchner (talk) 00:16, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
