Engineering system & Engineering systems

This article (the original article Engineering system) in it's current state is about two subjects:

  1. Engineering system: any engineered system
  2. Engineering systems: the approach to engineering and the study of engineered systems

Those two things haven't been will seperated yet.

Now I have seen this same problem in the complex system article. There I have split the article in two:

I think it is very disturbing for the outside world is you don't make a effort to separate he object of study from the study itselve. I think something has to be done here - Mdd 00:12, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now I solved this problem by moving all of the content of engineering system to this article. - Mdd 12:23, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should return this article to its origin as the MIT Engineering Systems Division page. The entire article is POV from MIT and is entirely self-referential. I don't mind MIT espousing a particular view on systems engineering and their perception of its difference from engineering systems; but Wikipedia is not the place to do it. I agree -- Mdd (talk) 19:00, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I've returned the text to its original focus. If this meets everyone's approval, I'll put a redirect here at "Engineering Systems" and retitle to "MIT Engineering Systems Division" ComputerGeezer (talk) 15:57, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
