I motion for calling this article "Square attack" ("... also called I. CA."), since there are vastly more papers on the attack naming it Square Attack than I.C. DocMJV 23:08, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. Knudsen & Wagner's paper coining the name discusses more general types of attacks than just the Square attack. Ntsimp 07:16, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
We held a vote on this at FSE 2006 and "Integral cryptanalysis" won, so this is the nearest thing to an "official" name. I wish that John Kelsey's proposal "summation cryptanalysis" had won instead, but I think people found the contrast with "differential" appealing. — ciphergoth 10:49, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
