I have no idea what is meant by "an image is used to light the scene in conjunction with tradional light models". I guess this just needs a detailed description of the high-level mechanics of the computation. -- Beland02:15, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
WHat he is saying is that you map an image like a panorama to a dome in your environment. THen your 3d prograpm like Maya or 3dsMax can pick up this ligihing data and make it interact with the models in your scene.
