A "Hierarchical file system" is a rather significant concept in computing, so it seems to make little sense that this title is taken by a rather obscure and now obsolete Apple implementation. This is on the model of Hierarchical File System (IBM MVS). The current Hierarchical File System article can be renamed here. I am creating an article Hierarchical file system (lower-case "File System") to talk about the general concept. Peter Flass (talk) 21:15, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I totally agree and carried out the necessary moves/renames and link updates but was reverted incorrectly claiming this would have been an undiscussed move, see [1] (where two more users, User:BarrelProof and User:Dr. Vogel, seem to have agreed with us) and User_talk:Locke_Cole#Hierarchical_File_System.

but was reverted incorrectly claiming this would have been an undiscussed move In what way was it "incorrect"? Having a discussion on this page about another page is not a substitute for "discussion". —Locke Coletc 04:42, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
