GeoNetwork opensource is one of the software projects of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation. It has been tagged for deletion seemingly because it was taken that GeoNetwork actually is the Open Source Geospatial Foundation which is not true. I have contacted the initiator of that project and bif he is interested he will follow up. --Tschirl03:50, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Is GeoNetwork a Metadata registry? Is it missing a capability needed to be a registry? Or, if it has the capability to be a registry, can it only be called a registry if the using organization has decided to use it as a registry rather than only as a catalog? (A catalog is descriptive, while use of a catalog as a registry must be required by the cataloging organization) (SEWilco (talk) 18:05, 28 November 2007 (UTC))[reply]
