I am the author of this book, so I don't want to edit the page directly, but I can contribute to the discussion by noting that Expressive Processing is the first book in the Software Studies series from MIT Press, and thereby helps define an emerging area of inquiry. Also, at the 2010 Game Developer's Conference Expressive Processing was the only book included in the "Game Studies Download" (a selection of the top 10 game studies publications over the last year). It has been excerpted by Kotaku and positively reviewed by Digital Humanities Quarterly, ACM Computing Reviews, Choice, and JAC. Unfortunately, only one of these reviews is available for free online.
