I did some work expanding this stub, it's a little messy right now so I will hopefully be adding to it and fixing some things over the next few weeks. This page could possibly be merged with threshold_cryptosystem, but that page isn't in great shape either. Farabeeandrew (talk) 17:29, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A "distributed key" also has a meaning related to database design. Unfortunately I only use them, and don't think I could provide a formal enough definition to merit introduction of a disamiguation page / new section of this article.
