Merge of this article was never completed

See discussion at Talk:R (programming language)#datasets.load and other R packages. – Joe (talk) 13:05, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Propose to restore original text as the merge was never completed and the content of one of the most popular packages is now unavailable. Aditisrinivasan (talk) 15:00, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Aditisrinivasan: The above message is four years old. The merge was subsequently completed[1][2] but the material on datasets.load was later removed from the destination R package.[3] That's how it goes sometimes. Popularity doesn't equate to notability and I don't think anything has changed on that score since the 2018 AfD. Honestly even massive R packages like ggplot2 or shiny (software) barely scrape by our notability threshold. Aside from tutorials and documentation, people just don't write about R packages very much. – Joe (talk) 16:39, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
