unusual terminology

I infer that the notation m_(i_1,...,i.n) is the sum of monomials x_1^j_1...x_n^j_n over all distinct permutations j_1...j_n of i_1...i_n. This is a sufficiently unusual notation to warrant a definition or reference. I wasn't able to find one in Wikipedia. Mdmi (talk) 17:28, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
