Very nice article. Everything looks good except for some minor issues regarding the prose, which I've detailed below.

  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose quality:
In the lead, "dancey" seems a bit jargony. Perhaps "dance-oriented" works just as well.
  • Also in the lead, "Contemporary as well as old critics gave a mixed review of the song" is awkward - "old critics" makes me wonder if they are senior citizens, and "a mixed review" should be made plural. I recommend changing the sentence to something like, "Since its release, the song has received mixed reviews by critics."
  • In the "Background" section, "their continuous tumultous relationship" ... "continuous" suggests the tumult was literally non-stop with with zero breaks or interruptions. I recommend changing to "their often tumultuous relationship".
  • Also in the "Background" section, "In the United States, 'Causing a Commotion' was released in the autumn of 1987." I would substitute "autumn" with the exact month, if possible.
  • "In the United Kingdom, the song was released just before the commencement of Madonna's 1987 Who's That Girl Tour." When was that?
  • In the "Composition" section, "The lyrics knowingly makes a reference to 'get into the groove'". I assume this means there is a reference to her earlier single "Into the Groove", but this is unclear as it's currently written.
  • In the "Critical response" section, "Tony Power from Blender criticized the song." What did he criticize about it?
  • It sounds odd to have a quote credited to two people (Allen Metz and Carol Benson) - "I recall my stunned admiration as I sat in the theater in 1987 and first experienced..." - which sounds as though it was said by one person. Can this be clarified?
  • In the "Chart performance" section, "It entered the UK Singles Chart at , and peaked at four." Entered at what position?
  • In the "Live performances" section, "The outfit she wore for the performance was described as the..." Described by whom?
  1. B. MoS compliance:
In the "Chart performance" section, the numbers are inconsistently formatted: "forty-one" on the Billboard Hot 100, "top ten" of the chart, "90" in Canada, "66" in Germany, etc.
  2. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
    A. References to sources:
    B. Citation of reliable sources where necessary:
    C. No original research:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. Major aspects:
    B. Focused:
  4. Is it neutral?
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. Is it stable?
    No edit wars, etc:
  6. Does it contain images to illustrate the topic?
    A. Images are copyright tagged, and non-free images have fair use rationales:
    B. Images are provided where possible and appropriate, with suitable captions:
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
Again, not much is needed to pass GA. Let me know if you have any questions.  Gongshow Talk 03:24, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
