It is niche technology, but skills in this area are expensive, and it is good to have a start place in wikipedia.

Re: stand-alone routines, missing red link. Do you mean like good old procedural programming? There are many OOP languages (ie Python) what are Object-oriented, not object-obsessed like Java is, and freely allow to mix OO and procedural code, as it makes sense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.36.29.87 (talk) 19:43, 10 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
