A fact from COSMOS field appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 12 May 2024 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that the COSMOS field(pictured) is the largest contiguous survey of the universe ever taken by the Hubble Space Telescope?
I have removed the following uncited material from the article: "covers two square degrees of sky. By comparison, the Earth's Moon is one-half degree across. The field is being imaged by most major space-based and ground-based telescopes". When a citation has been found, it can be put back into the article.
