Jamstack
JAMstack is a front-end technology stack focused on JavaScript, APIs and Markup which has been gaining traction over the past couple of years. The JAMstack movement is driving awareness of a website architecture in which the frontend is decoupled from the backend via APIs and served from the CDN or Edge rather than a traditional server. JAMstack lets you generate pre-rendered HTML pages from Javascript code at build time[1], which significantly simplifies the developmental process and accelerates websites.
By tapping into the growing popularity of Javascript-based, modern frontends—and leveraging the solid foundations provided by Google Cloud Platform, Azure and AWS—a completely new breed of technology is emerging. Jamstack platforms, such as Netlify and Vercel, along with the eCommerce-focused Moovweb XDN, are laying the groundwork for easily developing, hosting, deploying, experimenting on and defending modern frontends.[2] These JAMstack platforms are accelerated websites and simplifying the workflow for front-end developers.
