Expanding the article

This problem has come up on the math reference desk a couple of times now and it would be nice to have an introductory article on the subject to point to. I'd like to suggest expanding the article along the lines of the lecture notes by Jeff Erickson currently in the external links section.--RDBury (talk) 12:48, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
